Ocean City Chapter Surfrider Foundation 13th Annual Longboard Team Challenge – SATURDAY, 08 JUNE!

First of all, we want to extend a HUGE welcome and mahalo to FINLANDIA VODKA as our sponsor this year!  They will be joining us for this epic day filled with fun-in-the-sun!

The fun starts Friday night at 6:30 pm at the Pirates’ Galley on 32nd Street!  Come hang out and talk story with OC’s best for eats, drinks and music!

Saturday is the big day!  There are still a few openings left for teams!  If you have a five (5) surfer team riding boards at least 9′ in length and have $200 to cover the team registration fee, please consider joining us!  If you’re short a surfer or two, please stop by the Registration Tent and we may be able to hook you up with some other surfers who want to complete!  2013+reg_form

Registration is on the beach at 37th Street in front of the Castle in the Sand Hotel at 8:00 am.  Contest starts at 9:00 am and runs until about 4:00-4:30 pm with the after-party following at Coconuts at 5:00 pm!  If you would like to volunteer to help us out in the Merchandise Tent, please feel free to join us anytime during the day starting at 6:00 am when we set-up the tents and tables.  We will also need help with tear-down afterwards and would greatly appreciate your sticking around to help us make quick work of it!

Sunday is expression surfing session starting at 8:00 am on the beach at 37th!

This weekend will be an EPIC good time with music, surfing, camaraderie,  surfing, raffles, and surfing!  Just in case Mother Nature isn’t quite as stoked as we are about this, RAIN DATE IS SUNDAY, 09 JUNE.

Join Us for the St. Patrick’s Day Parade This Saturday, 16 March, in Ocean City!

***PLEASE JOIN US FOR THE OCEAN CITY ST. PATRICK’S DAY PARADE***  This coming Saturday, 16 March, OC Surfrider will again have an entry in the second largest St. Patrick’s Day parade in the entire state of Maryland!  If you would like to join us as we walk along the parade route from 59th Street to 45th Street; carry cool display stuff, signs and banners; and hand out candy and bumper stickers to the crowds, please let Kat know by e-mailing her at volunteercoordinator@oceancity.surfrider.org.  We will meet near the 7-11 on 59th Street bayside at 10:00 am.  The parade starts at noon.  Hope you can join us!  Mahalo!

FUNDRAISER EVENT ON MONDAY, MARCH 4TH!  Join Berley Oak, the Crab Cake Factory and the OC Chapter of Surfrider Foundation at the Burley Oak Brewing Company in Berlin tomorrow night from 8:00 pm until?  for FREE COVER, LIVE MUSIC, FREE HORS D’OEUVRE BUFFET, DOOR PRIZES, RAFFLES AND A WHOLE LOTTA FUN!  21 years and older, please.  Hope we see you there!!!
