“A Plastic Ocean” movie event at Mother’s Cantina!

What a great movie event on 1/27/18! We showed "A Plastic Ocean" at Mother's Cantina, the first Ocean Friendly Restaurant in Ocean City, MD. Mother's provided delicious food, the film was eye-opening, and we had wonderful guests like Billy Weiland from Assateague Coast Trust and Ocean City's mayor Rick Meehan. Mother's owner Ryan James, spoke to the crowd about being an ocean friendly restaurant.  Thank you to everyone who came out. Be on the lookout for more events soon!

About 50 people came out. The tortilla shop at Mother's was packed! Your friendly local chapter - plus the Mayor.

Billy Weiland talked about ACT's new blog called The Marsh. Check it out! Mayor Meehan hung out for the whole event and watched the almost 2-hour movie. We give him credit for that but we think he may just like tacos.
