The Obama administration is reversing a plan to allow oil drilling in the Atlantic Ocean, after an uproar from local communities over environmental concerns. In a word – we won. Read more below.
The surfboard traveling from Florida to Washington DC as a moving protest against offshore oil drilling is here. It is already getting signed by local businesses. Surfrider Foundation is letting businesses express their opposition to offshore oil drilling through our “Sign the Surfboard” campaign, which will be coming to Ocean City, MD in November. In an effort to #StoptheDrill, our eco-friendly surfboard is traveling from Miami to coastal Delaware, collecting signatures from businesses and organizations who think seismic testing and offshore drilling in the Atlantic and Eastern Gulf of Mexico is #NotTheAnswer.

Huge thanks to those who came out and sat through a long Ocean City Council meeting to make sure the Ocean City Mayor and Council passed this resolution against seismic airgun testing and offshore oil drilling.
