For the fourth consecutive year Surfrider Foundation, OCMD partnered with the Let's Go Music Festival to reduce single use plastic and waste at the three-day music festival near Annapolis, MD. This year broke our previous record by providing a total of 2,632 liters of cold, free water to concert goers. With an army of volunteers supported by the newly formed Annapolis chapter we diverted an estimated 5,264 single-use plastic water bottles from the waste stream.
A sincere thank you to the Let's Go promoters Liz Rawlings and Chris Hartman, Annapolis Green, the rockstar volunteers from the Annapolis, DC and OCMD chapters, and the Annapolis High School Surfrider Club. The time and dedication of all the gracious volunteers is what make this great event, and all of our chapter-led efforts possible.
Please take the time to learn about the MD Chapters of Surfrider and the many opportunities to increase your involvement. Memberships are what keeps our chapter running, and start as low as $5 annually.
With all my heart, thank you. Look forward to seeing many of you again and future events.
