You've heard of Mother's Cantina in Ocean City; well please welcome the newest OFR in Maryland, Papi's Tacos of Fell's Point and the Hampden neighborhoods.
You can't make this stuff up. Mother's in Ocean City was Maryland's first Ocean Friendly Restaurant as per Surfrider Foundation's program to reduce plastic waste and promote environmentally friendly practices. But now the latest Ocean Friendly Restaurant in the state is called Papi's Tacos and they have two locations in Baltimore. Papi's and Mother's aren't related and they didn't coordinate this (although they do seem to share the same Day-of-the-Dead style which we dig).
We spoke to Jen the General Manager and while Papi's naturally had to make some changes during the pandemic, they were happy to sign up as OFR's recently and they have ditched the extra plastic that the pandemic required. And best of all, we did not find them and ask them to be an OFR. They found us and they signed themselves up!
So if your travels take you to Baltimore, check out one of their to locations:
Papi's Taco in Fell's Point - 1703 Aliceanna, Baltimore, MD 21231 and
Papi's Taco's in Hampden, 3820 Falls Road, Baltimore, MD 21211
It looks absolutely delicious and we can't wait to go there!
